Breaking News: Today Cardiff City have announced that Rookier manager Matthew Timms will be taking over as manager after Dave Jones left to take the vacant managerial post at Newcastle United. When interviewed Timms said he was 'delighted to get the job' and that he would bring about 'big changes at the Welsh club to ensure the club is moving in the right direction, that direction is towards the Premier league.

Start of Season Expectations: Reach the Play-Offs (Minimum)

Team Overview:

Players - Good blend of youth and experience, squad lacks depth in most positions, Joe Ledley will be a big player for us so need to get him tied down to a long term deal, also noticed a lot of over-rated players on big contracts who need to leave the club.

Finances - Average at best, £0 transfer budget and £77k wage budget that is already all being used, will have to get rid of high earners to bring in transfer funds and wage funds and do some good work in the free/loan market. Financial security is a must.

Potential Transfers In - Sol Campbell (Free), Darron Gibson (Loan), Mark Viduka (Free)

Players to be Transfer listed - Miguel Comminges, Gavin Rae, Gabor Gyepes, Riccardo Scimeca, Peter Enckelman

Friendlies:
Cardiff Reserves (h)
Arsenal (a)
Bury (h)
Chasetown (a)
Hertha BSC (h)
Ross County (a)
Ballymena Utd (a)
Colchester (a)
GH Academy (h)
Hibernian (h)

My Ambitions:
Season 1 - Play-Offs
Season 2 - Automatic Promotion/Premiership Survival
Season 3 - Premiership Survival/Consolidation
Season 4 - Premiership Top Half/Europa League

I hope you will follow and be entertained by my story as you follow me taking the Bluebirds to the promised land of the Premier League on a shoe-string budget, and in doing so become the first Welsh team to play in the Premiership!

Cheers mate, hope people show interest and enjoy following this, people may see Cardiff as an easy challenge but with the limited funds/tight budgets it isn't an easy task!

I will be reading this mate. Cardiff have got a very good bunch of players and you should do well with them! Good Luck!
