Carlos Vela's buy back clause

Hi guys. I just wanted to know something. On the previous editions of FM , Arsenal had a buy back clause for Carlos vela that was set at approximately around 4M pounds, and I could easily snap him up. But in FM 16, I noticed that that clause has somehow disappeared. Can anyone tell me why this clause is not active in this year's FM? Thanks.
 
This is because Sociedad bought out the clause to prevent it from happening.
 
Does that mean that Sociedad paid money to Arsenal in real life to get this clause out of the player's contract? (I'm sorry I don't quite understand what buying out a clause means?)

Yes, some agreed fee to settle and remove it.
 
ehh... what a shame... it would be nice to get him for such small fee :p

It was nice to get him for such a small fee...... I always used to sign him because he is a homegrown player and is very good and available very cheaply. Afraid I will have to look at other options now.:S
