Carrying on from the demo?

I have just downloaded the full version of the game after playing the demo. I heard you could carry on from your demo game but when I opened the game there was no previous game to loaded. Anyone that could help me on the matter will be greatly appreciated!

To be honest, I've not heard any guides on this actually working. If it were possible though, I would still steer clear of it due to there most likely being bugs between the transitions; especially as the demo was a Quick Load game and not a 'fresh' version.
