CB Pairing not performing!

Hi guys ive got Gary Cahill and Ryan Shawcross in the heart of my defence, last season Shawcross av rating was 7.83 but was partnering Coloccini. Brought in Cahill and both struggling to get above 7 for average rating and leaking goals. ATM i have Cahill cover defender and Shawcross a stopper.

Any ideas??

Stick match prep on team blend or defensive positioning.
