CELTIC FC-THE HUNT FOR TROPHIES

MY CAREER SO FAR
My career spaned for 25 years.From starting off at Local side Falkirk to playing East Region Superleague at 41 years ad 265 days old.I played for Falkirk,Stenhousemuir(loan),Aberdeen,Hearts,Celtic,Blackpool,Aston Villa,AS Roma and Dinamo Zagreb before returning to Scotland and ripping up the Junior and lower divisions before retiring a the end of 2005.I won 68 Scotand caps and played at the 98 and 02 World Cups.

Summer of 2010
At the end of the 2009/10 season.Tony Mowbrey was sacked and Neil Lennon was appointed as caretaker job.So in the summer after Lennon hadn't impressed.They posted out to managers asking if they wanted the job.Looking to my future I applied for it and I had to go for an interview.

The Interview
I walked in to Celtic Park with pride that I could be the next Celtic Manager.I walked past James Forrest and we spoke together.He was one of the many players I had managed as Reserve manager.I walked up to the boardroom and sat outside.After about 5 minutes a small,Ginger haired man walked out.It was Gordon Strachan.Closely followed by a older man called John Reid.He asked me inside.Inside was a group of 8 men.
I sat down and John Reid said "Hello Jonny and welcome to The celtic Football Club.We are the board of directors and will work closely with you if you are appointed as our manager.Firstly if we appoint you wat could you bring to the club?
"Trophies,medals and wins.Plus a good financial state and a good future team."
John Reid and his team looked at each other and nodded and whispered together.
"OK then.How would you get that?"
"I would get it by performing well on and off the pitch.Iwould also get it by beating Rangers every time!Also buying into youth and bringing through the best young talent in Scotland."
John Reid seemed quie impressed and so did his directors.
"You seem to be doing well.Who would you buy to get this team to the top."
"Well obviously because i managed the reserves.I know whose good and whose not in there.I would also use my knowledge and contacts around europe to get some good players there."
"OK.Last question.How would you get the fans on your side?
"Well I played here for 100 games so I know what its like to play here.And winning.If you dont win you dont get fans."
"OK,thanks for applying."

The delight I got from that was immense.The thought of manageing one of the best teams in Scotland.
