Today - Celtic Football Club

Celtic football club today have annouced the hiring of John Rowlands. Not much is known about Rowlands But he had a long time serving within the British Army and has seen Conflict. He was the Army's Football manager and now has taken over Celtic. The Chairman John Reid today said " It gives me great plaesure to announce Rowlands as the new manager as he has promised me he will bring in a strict training regime and only wants the best for the club. "

Rowlands is fort to have 8.5 million to spend.

Reports Say that Rowlands has place Bids in for -
  • Rafel Van Der Vaart - Loan with a view to Buy
  • Simon Vukcevic - 6.5 m
  • Sol Campbell - Contract
  • Artem Milevskyi - 7.5 m
Celtic Pre Season see them going to

Rochdale and Albion Rovers Both Games away. Then Portugal Giants Benfica Come to Celtic. Rowlands will be looking to see what his squad can do leading into these the season which kicks off Pittodrie Stadium Home of Aberdeen.
 
Rowlands First Press Conference

Rowlands looke calm and collected he said " It was a dream come true to come and work at Celtic they have a great fans and have a great history which i will do my best to carry on."

Rowlands then went on to say he is man that will listen to players problems but should not be seen as a sign as weakness he says you need to be able to trust the man who is telling you what to do.

He then said the Players will grow to dislike me over the pre season because of what i have in store but they will see the benifts over the season. Rowlands wouldnt let us in on any of his secrets.

One thing that we did get out off Rowlands is that Rafel Van der Vaart wont be joing the club due to the clubs not being able to reach an agrement.
 
Take a look at Koevermans for a striker. I signed him for 2.5 Mil scored 26 in 26 league games.
 
Today's Big News Up In Scotland

Today the news coming out of Celtic is that they have Completed the signing of two players. Sol Campbell and Simon Vukcevic.

Rowlands at the unvelling of the two players said " Sol is a great player and has great experince and can bring alot of wisdom to the younger ranks " Rowlands view on bringing in Vukcevic was " that he a great talent and will be a integral role to the club as we strive forward"

Sol Campbell said " I am delighted to have signed for celtic to still be counted by a club like this is something in its own right i will do my best for the club and the fans."

Reports also say that Celtic are waiting on a work permit for the Ukraine Striker Artem Milevskyi.

The Month Of July.

Seen the appionment of John Rowlands as the manger of Celtic and a few new faces up in Scotland Celtic managed to sign Sol Campbell, Simon Vukcevic, Artem Milevskyi and Tobias Linderoth.

Celtic also had a good pre-season beating Rochdale 3-0 and Albion Rover 6-0 Both games were away. Then came the Chamipions Leauge Qualifier were Celtic were drawn against Sparta Prauge Celtic travelled in a buyonet mood and it showed as the hammerd Sparta 5-0 new signing Milevskyi getting two of the goals, Mcdonald and Samaras also chipped in.

Celtic also confirm there will be no more signings this summer but were looking to offload there deadwood Lee Naylor the most noticeable name to leave the club to Q.P.R for a fee of 900k.

A full list will be out by the club in next months update.
 
Good signings, I expect you to finish 1st in the SPL thought as it would be silly not too.
 
The Month of August.

It has been a up and down month celtic were knocked out of the champions leauge after beating Sparta Prauge 6-1 on aggerarte. that seen Celtic getting a tough draw against Sporting.

Rowlands Said today " that this month has been tough but we are know back onto the track were we wont be, Artem is in fine form for us and has scored 7 goals already so i hope he can continue that form "

The Month Of September

Celtic have gone the whole month unbeaten this month but it hasnt come at a cost Artem Milevskyi has been ruled out for 5 months.

Rowlands Said " It pains me to inform Celtic fans that Artem is going to be out for 5 months he had been in fine form for us scoring 9 Goals in 9 Apperances, but i now see this a challengefor Scott Or Smaras to make an impression"

Milevskyi had won Player of the month in August and was a real threat up thier for Celtic.

Celtic Were drawn against Kilmarnock in the Quarter Final of the Scottish Cup.

McGeady Bagged Player of the month with a run of fine form he has 8 goals in 8 games.

The Month Of October

Celtic carry on fine run of form by going the whole month unbeaten again, Rowlands said " This is what i expect from the squad they have showed me what they can do so now i want the fans to see the potenial"

Celtic are through to the Semi Finals of the Scottish Cup against Hearts away with there being a chance of a old firm Final. Celtic are top of the SPL and are now 5 points clear at the top with a great month by Samaras who has bagged no less than 7 goals. They are top of Group I in the Europa leauge clear by two points.

Rowlands today was awarded Manger of the month. With his centre half and team captian Gary Caldwell given player of the month.

Gary said " I have a good run of form at the minute and i hope it continues, John is a great man manager he deserves his award "

Celtics unbeaten run came to a end this month at thrid placed Dundee United Rowlands didnt look happy what so ever and refused to comment on the game.

Santa certianly came to Celtic this month they went the whole month unbeaten and also qualified top of Group I with 16 points only Roma could match them Celtic drew Rosenberg in the next stage with a view to playing either Heerenveen or Anderlect after that.

Even better news for Celtic fans was that this month Artem Milevskyi returned to full training and says " He is looking at getting a role in the old firm game and it is a dream to play in a game that means do much to the fans"

Celtic have also annouced that they have stretghend up thier defence by signing Tony Hibbert from Everton for a fee of 1.9 million Rowlands said " Tony is a great player with great defender qualities " Hibbert said " Is great to come and play to Celtic if you ask anyone they no how good the club is."

The Month Of January

I t has been a up and down month up in Celtic they kicked off the month with the old firm game and lost Rowlandsstill hasnt tasted derby joy after getting beat 1 - 0 by the Gers, Rowlands said " Im Sorry, i let the players no how much they let the fans down, we will win the next game against them " Rowlands dream might come sooner than expected as they have drawn Rangers in the Scottish Cup.

Celtic are also oin to play Rangers in the Scottish Leauge Cup Final.

Celtic have also added a new face to the squad and have managed to capture young english man Jamie O'Hara for 2 million Rowlands said " Jamie is a great player and was a no brainer watch this space."

O'Hara went to prove Rowlands right by scoring on his debut game and getting man of the match. Artem Milevskyi made his come bak in the same game.

Juan Roman Riquelme has also put pen to paper and will be joing Celtic in july on a free transfer old celtic Legend Henrik Larsson said " Wow what a player he will be for the club."
