if i win the champions league this season but do not get in the top 4 do i qualify for it or not??

pretty sure it used to be a yes. but now its a no. not sure though

I remember that UEFA changed the rules for the champion not to gain automatic qualification. But then Liverpool won the Champions League over Milan without achieving qualification for the next Champions League through the Premier League - and UEFA opened an exception and allowed Liverpool into the Champions League neverthless.

Yet, I don't know how it is working now.
