When playing as Man Utd I was surprised to discover that Jonny Evans at 25 years old can still be tutored by Vidic, which makes me wonder what other changes FM 14 has made to tutoring. This allows more freedom when buying players as older players can still receive drastic upgrades to their mental attributes. Has anyone discovered other differences? Rafael can also become a tutor at only 23. It used to be that players over 21 can no longer receive tutoring and players under 24 cannot become tutors.

The lowest age for being a tutor was 23 in FM 13, so that doesn't seem to have changed (unless you can use even younger players to tutor, haven't tried that yet). But being able to tutor players over the age of 22 is definitely new.

Ah you're right. I messed around with the squad statuses and it seems that has not changed either. The tutor has to have a higher squad status than the tutee. Also this might just be luck but no one has rejected their tutor yet. There's also two ways to tutor players, through private chat and through tutor recommendations listed in the tutee's training profile.

I've also found that tutors can only tutor once per season, I think last year players could tutor again after a few weeks of when the first tutoring session ends. Tutees can get tutored more than once per season however.
