I was just wondering how many people actually do this.

For example:

'Team struggle against high/low tempo' - obviously adjust tempo accordingly.

'Team struggle against narrow/wide teams' - obviously adjust width.

But then you get ones such as:

'We are better/worse at controlling the ball than opponent' - adjust?

'We have a height advantage/disadvantage on opponent' - adjust?

'We have a speed advantage/disadvantage on opponent' - adjust?

'We have a technical adv/disadv on opponent' - adjust?

'We are better/worse at passing the ball than opponent' - adjust?

I am currently trial and error 'ing' these at the moment to see how much affect it has on my results.

I will try it out with different teams to see if it helps dominate games for bigger teams, and if it helps keep out bigger teams with smaller teams.

Does anyone have any ideas that might help me out on this?

As for me, i only adjust the tempo, width or defensive line accordingly. Opposition instructions will be done by my *** Manager.

Same as the above, i fail to see how you could really adjust your tactics to account for height and speed etc. maybe tempo, but not sure about anything else.

I do agree, pre match meetings seem to work well when it's defensive line, width and tempo. Nothing else really.

I meant I changed my team instructions and player instructions in response to all of the advice I posted in the OP.

However, not all may have affected the performance.

Ah right i see, it does help though and it's probably something people should use, things can go wrong if you don't do things properly.

Agreed, been adjusting them with the default formation for three games now,

Utd 5 - 1 Liverpool
Rubin 0 - 5 Utd
Stoke 0 - 2 Utd

Make that:

Utd 5 - 1 Liverpool
Rubin 0 - 5 Utd
Stoke 0 - 2 Utd
Southampton 0 - 3 Utd (2nd string)
Utd 2 - 0 Blackburn
Utd 2 - 0 Roma
