I'm starting a new game with a team called Charleroi in the Belgian Jupiler League. Anyone got any advice?!? Anything at all would be helpful.

yeah. quit. Unless you're a fan, take anderlecht or standart (they got a couple wonderkids). If you're a fan, PM me man, lived in brussels for years!

first of all acess your faults i.e. weaknesses like what positions you are short in and things like that, then see what budget you have and then start from there, im guessn they have a small squad so try and sign a mixture of experienced and youth prospects for the future and then try and pick a ytactic to suit once you have set about creating the team you want, good luck with that game and keep me posted how your getting on will be interesting to see how it works out!!

Thanks lads I'll keep you posted on how I do but unfortunately can't post screenshots even after going through all the guides it still doesn't seem to work on this computer. Anyway I bought a total of five players including a young Belgian prospect from Anderlecht called Cheikou Kouyate. He's a Patrick Vieira type player in that holding midfield roll. Got him on loan for nothing. I got another player from Anderlecht called Reynaldo who I give full creative freedom a free role and he just makes things happen. Howver he did cost me 80K til the end of the season he's worth every penny. I play him just off my main striker. Oh an yeah i got Anderlecht as a parent club. My final loan signing, I got on deadline day. A left back who signed for Manchester United in January from Stoke, Ritchie De Laet. Got Alessio Tacchinardi for a free and my last signing I got on deadline day after getting outpriced on many other targets was, right winger Thomas Chatelle from Anderlecht for 400K. Sold a couple of players nearing the end of the window unexpectably a centre back for 95K and an experienced striker for 50K. To my friendlies. I played Feyernood first and after starting my strongest team except for Reynaldo my attacking dynamo I dominated the first 30 minutes however Feyernood were getting more and more into it as the game went on. And in the 43rd minute they scored. In the second half the game was very much interrupted by substitutions and tactical changes but in the 79th minute Feyernood got another, Roy Makaay with a 35 yard strike. In the 86th minute we scored but it was no more than a consolation. I then went with my side on a tour to Switzerland plkaying mainly against weak Division 2 sides over there. The first of which being FC Lausanne. I won 1-0 with a goal from the young dynamo Reynaldo. Then the second match of the tour. The opposition was Chaux-De-Fonds. I won 3-2 with my defence faulting a lot but luckily I scored 1 more than the Swiss side. With the tour close to an end the last of the Swiss sides we would play were Bern FC. We were by far the dominant side an went into the break 2-0. It looked like more of the same in the 2nd half but I noticed they were catching us on the break regularly and decided to pull back a bit and instruct my four defenders and my holding midfielder to stay back at all times. They scored one in the 69th minute then strook a double blow in the 74th minute but then we got one in the 79th. They pushed us and they earnt a draw with Tacchinardi scoring an own goal. We came back with 5 days before our first league game. It was against the mighty Club Brugge. I always knew it was going to be a difficult game and the pundits wrote us off before the start. We battled with Brugge but it weren't to be our day and Ronald Vargas who came on shortly after half time for Brugge scored the winner late on. To be fair it was a fantastic goal with him skimming 4 of my players before smashing one sweetly into the top right corner. I decided after a dodgy result or two in Switzerland and not performing against Brugge it was time for change. I made 4 changes to my side putting in two 18 year olds on left and right back including De Laet who was on loan from Man Utd, as it seemed Vargas who came on on the left wing for Brugge and Vethingen their right winger kept getting in behind and putting dangerous crosses in. My other two changes come from the under 19's. A young 18 year old lad called Zamorano at centre half and a more experienced player coming into the centre of midfield. My next match was against Roesalare a lower mid table side and the odds were fairly even due to them being at home. It was a good day and I could sense more sturdiness at the back even if I did bring in younger players it improved. We won 2-1 but the scoreline didn't sum the day up. We were by far the better side and were dissalowed 2 goals and missed a penalty with them scoring in stoppage time of the second half. I was happy and were welcomed back to our own stadium by some weaker opposition in KV Mechelen. Another win with just 1 change to the side I played against Roeselare I put in De Groote, a left winger who I played in most of the friendlies but this was his first start in the league. I played him due to his impact from coming off the bench. I won 4-1 against Mechelen with Reynaldo scoring 2, 1 form De Groote (a free-kick) and Lenges my ST scored with a placed finish when getting in behind their defence. The only downside to the day was an injury to Kouyate of 3 months. My next matches are against Cercle Brugge, Anderlecht and Westerlo which are all pretty difficult especially Anderlecht. After 3 games I sit 3rd in the league 1 point behind both Genk and Club Brugge.

Played two difficult games to end my FM day off. It's what I generally do when I am hungover on a Sunday. Cercle Brugge were the opposition. I was away and picked up a couple of injuries not long before the match. I started the match very much on the backfoot but was slowly but surely getting into it. It stayed 0-0 til half time and the 2nd half didn't provide much action except for my young on-loan full back Ritchie De Laet getting a 2nd yellow card resulting in a red. Other than that it was uneventful and finished 0-0. Not too dissapointed though. Did go down to 4th in the league going to Anderlecht. It was another away game and they were heavy favourites but I had a good feeling despite having four players missing including Ritchie De Laet, Kouyate, Zamorano and Keepens (a left back). Anderlecht went into the game 1-2 favourites. To the game and for the first time in the season I changed the season to 1 up front moving Reynaldo to attacking midfield with two holding midfielder and generally going with a more defensive approach whilst playing on the counter. Anderlecht pushed us but were failing to create any meaningful chances and we were starting to catch them on the break. 35th minute and they'd had 10 shots 6 on target most of them being long range efforts. I had 3 shots all of them being on target but they were more meaningful. Then in the 38th minute on the break again De Groote put a through ball to put Lenges 1 on 1 with their goalkeeper and bang he hit the bar but he followed it up and put us ahead. The rest of the 1st half was pretty much uneventful and it stayed 1-0 to us. 2nd half and Anderlecht came all out attack. They were creating more chances and kept getting in behind. I realised we weren't going to hang on much longer. I changed tactics and went a bit more defensive. But in the 60th minute Anderlecht scored from a corner. At this point I thought it was all over they were pushing but then I made a radical move and changed to a 4-3-3 putting my 6:5 target man Wahtres for Reynaldo and Lenges to feed off. The game was now wide open but they seemed to be getting the better. We then put together a 20 pass move and then Reynaldo picked it up on the edge of the area turned one of their men and slotted it home. We had 5 minuted plus stoppage time to hang on and i brought a centre half and a left back on and put 5 at the back with 3 holding mifielders with Reynaldo just off Wahtres. We held on and celebrated a rare victory over Anderlecht. 10 points from 5 games and 4rth in the league performing above all expectations. Only behing Club Brugge, Genk and Zulte Waragem.Brugge sit at the top with only me nicking a couple of points off them. They've got 13 points. I 'll keep everyone updated tomorrow night!
