Chelsea appoint unknown Fenech as manager.

chelsea football have appointed young unkown manager george fenech as there new manager. chelsea were expected to bring in a big name manager but in the end roman abramovich decided to go with george fenech. here is what the new chelsea manager had to say:

i am delighted to be the manager of the club i have supported all my life and i hope i can do well and maybe be chelsea football clubs new special one.

George fenech makes first signing

George fenech has spend £14 million on russian star yuri zhirkov. The left sided player can play either left wing or left back and plays brilliant in both positions. chelsea manager george fenech commented " im glad i have signed such a good player who will be competing with florent malouda and ashley cole for their positions." yuri zhirkov had this to say: " i am very happy to sign for chelsea because they are a very big club and i hope i can win many trophies here."

pre season round up:

leeds 1-2 chelsea kalou, parker og

not the best of results but only pre season and played alot of youngsters

kortrijk 0-0 chelsea

decided to play the youngsters again and wasnt a too bad performance from them just couldnt find a goal

mouscron 0-0 chelsea

another 0-0 result for my youngsters and another good performance

aa gent 0-0 chelsea

decided to play a few first team players this game but they couldnt find a goal either so thats 3 0-0 results in a row

lierse 0-2 chelsea j.cole, dreesen og

decided to play mostly first team players and a good result

heerenveen 2-2 chelsea kalou 2

decided to play a mixture of youngsters and first team players this game and an ok result could of won it if it wernt for conceding in last minute

even with still over a month of the transfer window left chelsea manager george fenech has said he is not signing or selling anymore players in this windows. he said he is happy with the current squad and does not want to change it anymore.
