Chelsea manager formations needed

I am currently in season 2013/2014 and are managing Chelsea. I need help with formations. First pre-season game vs dortmund was a 0-0 draw. I have been working on the formations for weeks with the team. The are used to it. The problem was I was running a 4-3-3 and didn't creat many chances. My starting line up was: GK cech RB ivanovic CB Luiz CB Terry LB Bertrand ( Cole was injured ) CM Hamsik CM Lampard CM Ramires LW Cavani CF Falcao RW Mata Bench : Coutois Heitinga Lukaku Essien Cahill Kalou Isla Mikel Malouda Meireles De Bruyne Torres Unused players: Bosingwa Cole (inj) Turnbull McGeady Drogba McEachran Podstawski (int) Romeu.
Incase you are wondering I was asked by the board to take over from Luis van gaal. My only signings are Cavani Falcao and Podstawski

in the premier league, i would suggest a 4-3-2-1, with 3 central midfielders, two wingers and a lone striker up front. and i fail to see why you would waste your money on Cavani and Falcao...im sure they didnt come cheap. get Sanogo, Fierro, Niang etc.
 
the central mids with different roles for each of them btw. your squad right dont exactly look like world beaters, so start with a counter tactic against any big team, and while playing away against the mid-table sides. works beautifully with this formation. and i would play the 3 CMs as advanced playmaker with support duty, box to box midfielders/deep lying playmaker with support duty and ball winning midfielder with defence duty.
 
Ok thanks guys and Cavani was 20 M and Falcao was 25 M so I wouldn't say expensive but cause I did the 20 M over 32 months it didn't cost me much money. I also don't understand why van gaal bought heitinga. He isn't the better half of the defense and Howe is Cavani and Falcao waste of money pls explain
 
I don't know much about the formation thing but I highly recommend giving Romelu Lukaku as MUCH game time as possible, currently on Liverpool 2015/16 season (bought him in 2013) and he is as good as, if not better than Messi.
 
I always keep Lukaku on the bench is a great player. Currently in the opening game of the season 0-0 30mins gone
 
im sorry, waste of money was a bit harsh. but what i mean is that you must have spent quite a lot of money on those two, when you could have got in cheaper options who end up being better than cavani and falcao. cavani i can understand getting, he's a beast. falcao i simply dont get. and yeah, lukaku is also a real monster, play him as much as possible. good luck.
 
Bought Falcao cause Drogba 35 and Torres only other striker I can afford to start. Cavani is good domt know where to play him. Played the suggested 4-3-2-1 and won 2-0. Lined up with GK Cech RB Bosingwa CB Terry CB Cahill LB Ivanovic CM Hamsik CM Lampard CM Essien RW Mata LW Cavani ST Falcao (2) Bench Courtois Lukaku Luiz Ramirez Torres Debruyne Isla Unused McGeady Kalou Malouda Cole (inj) Turnbull Mikel Bertrand McEachran Kakuta Podstawski. Any suggestions ? Any tweaks to the players and sorry if my posts seemed personal or anything
 
i think you might need to strengthen at right back. look at romario from vitoria or sime vrsaljko from dinamo. both turn out to be amazing right-backs. bosingwa isnt going to cut it. also look to strengthen midfield..look at willian, douglas costa as wingers, they will be incredible guaranteed. play cavani as a striker up front, i think he will do much better..get rid of kalou, malouda etc. look at getting sissoko, m'vila, badelj and other young quality players to replace lamps and essien. and if you make a lot of money this season, snap Hazard up from Lille..he is worth whatever you pay for him, believe me. and play him as an IF on the left wing. give lukaku a lot of game time. and i feel torres also deserves to play, he is pretty amazing in the game. but Cavani should be first choice striker definitely. buy willian for the right wing, and play mata on the left. that will be a 100 times better. and no, they werent personal, i was the rude one. its all good. :D
 
Hazard went to man utd for an over inflated price of 34.5M and sissoko went to arsenal haha Bosingwa is in good form ATM with an assist in that game and just then had a credible 1-1 draw with arsenal with Cavani scoring a amazing top corner chip from wing but I have a cup game against Doncaster in 2 days so will play new tactic there
 
Moussa Sissoko is an amazing box to box midfielder. and i was thinking of yann m'vila as a ball winning midfielder. but if the big clubs have snapped them up, then you have very little chance of getting them. and btw, that price for Hazard isnt over-inflated trust me. he's usually more expensive than that. even for that price, he's an absolute bargain for manutd.
 
Sorry for the late reply but I am giving it a rest and starting a new one with everton can you suggest players to buy on a shoestring budget and formations ect

I am asking for an opinion on formations I have my 3 formations but I wanted to see if anyone else had ideas on different formations to what I had and if we had the same one then I would say I have that or no I don't. No need to be a asswipe about it
 
Dude I was just asking for opinions since I am at school I get max 4 hours a day on it and sorry I'm not perfect at it but no need to be an *** like that

What ??? I just moved the thread into the correct place that's all. There is NO problem in posting threads asking for help and when one wants information on what players to buy, what formation to play and "etc" I.e asking to be spoon fed on how to play your save, then those threads goes in the sub forum.

If you have a problem with the posting rules or the fact that this( or any forum or society for that matter) have rules and persons there to make sure that people try to follow them, don't hesitate to give the owners/ goverment a notice,
