Only two signings from us this transfer window because of a some what small transfer kitty. We received £35 Million from the board. All we really needed was to bolster our attack and our midfield. I do have faith in Luis Suarez but at the moment he just isn't pulling his weight in the side. That is why the introduction of Oscar Cardozo.

2010/11 Preseason Results:

Legia 0-5 Chelsea
Aguero (4), Cardozo

Luton 0-4 Chelsea
Drogba (2), Terry (2)

Motherwell 0-6 Chelsea
Aguero (3), Terry, Cardozo, Bosingwa

Dinamo Kiev 0-4 Chelsea
Ballack (2), Aguero, Cardozo

Reggina 1-5 Chelsea
Alex, Cardozo, Suarez, Verratti, Sturridge

Preseason Summary:
All in all a very strong preseason for us entertaining our fans with our attacking displays. 24 goals with only 1 conceded, we look like a force to be reckoned with in front of goal.

Best Player of Preseason:
This was between 3 players who put in 100% everytime they stepped out onto the pitch. This was between John Terry, Sergio Aguero and Oscar Cardozo. John Terry didn't only stop strikers in their path, but showed he could score goals too, scoring 3 in preseason. Oscar Cardozo showed tremendous power and ability on the field and also came up with a few assists. But the winner had to be Sergio Aguero. He showed how clinical he was infront of goal, and why he is one of the most lethal finishers in the world, at just the age of 22. He scored 8 goals through preseason with 5 assists.

Community Shield:

Liverpool 1-0 Chelsea
A some what solid performance from our team saw us lose out to a weakened Liverpool side. We had chance after chance and just failed in scoring a goal. We just weren't clinical enough infront of goal to win the game.

Nice story. I won the title in my first season with Chelsea, but not by the margin you did it in.
Got any screen shots?

A good read so far, but I don't like the title ;)
'Success at Last'. Maybe not the greatest trophy cabinet, but enough to boast about;)
But yes, good story, great signings. I love Riqueleme, he's usually my first signing, he's great, except from his fitness and stamina, a really pain in the ***.

and - I'd also like to see your prefered starting line-up if you have one? :)

I wish I could sign someone to my team for like 20 million.

Screenshots will be available shortly of my wins in the champions league, premier league, signings etc. And my preffered line up.

My tactic is similar to Mr Hough's but with a few tweaks on how my players play and their preferred positions.

August 2010

August saw us play 3 games including the Euro Super cup final against Bordeaux.

Chelsea 5v1 Middlesbrough
Ballack, Aguero (2), Anelka, Cardozo

The high class finishing of our attack, and the dominance in possession saw us run out 5-1 winners against the lacklustre Middlsbrough.

INJURY: Sergio Aguero and Didier Drogba Injured!

Chelsea 4v1 Man Utd
Cardozo, Moutinho, Anelka, Sturridge

A brave and confident performance saw us thrash our rivals Manchester United 4-1. A fair share of chances from either side but the finishing was never really there for United.

View attachment 70731

Chelsea 1-0 Bordeaux
Cardozo

A very tough game this proved for us. We scored early on which gave us an advantage in the game. Then they had a goal controversially ruled out through offside. Luckily for us as Bordeaux started to kick in, one of their players was sent off and they never looked threatning from there on in. Congratulations to the boys.

Player of the Month
:

The player of the month award goes to Oscar Cardozo. Not only has he proved himself in front of goal, he has inspired the team to go on and win the games. He terrorizies the defenders and proved a worthy replacement for Sergio Aguero who was out injured. Well done to him.

Sergio Aguero and Didier Drogba back fighting fit.

Champions Cup Group Stage Draw:
In our bid to defend our Cup we were hoping for an easy enough group to qualify. And we never came up short. We drawed Steaua, Metalist and Rubin in our group. A group which we are expected to win and dominate.

League Cup 3rd Round Draw:
We were drawn against the south coast side Portsmouth.

AUGUST BOSS OF THE MONTH AWARD GOES TO
- Leon Winfield

September 2010

A busy September month saw us grab 6 wins out of 7 and 1 unlucky draw.

Hull 0v6 Chelsea
Drogba (2), Cardozo(2), Essien, Carvalho

View attachment 70886

Very strong performance here with our two strikers on top of their form. Bring on the big sides.

Newcastle 0v4 Chelsea
Aguero, Moutinho, Cardozo(2)

A good team effort all around. It is very clear that our attack like to score goals and we are looking very very strong at the moment.

View attachment 70887

Steaua 0v4 Chelsea
Drogba(2), Verratti, Mikel

This was a chance to make a statement to the other teams in the competition to say we are going to retain our cup, and my team duly delivered. I am happy that young Verratti got on the scoresheet also.

View attachment 70888

Chelsea 2v2 Wolves
Drogba, Cardozo

A poor defensive performance saw my team drop the lead twice and earned Wolves a deserved point. Any lower reputation team that comes to Stamford Bridge and scores twice deserves something out the game.

View attachment 70889

Portsmouth 2v3 Chelsea - League Cup (e)

Drogba, Ivanovic, Suarez

Some key players rested today and this showed as my team struggled to see off Portsmouth. A heroic performance from their keeper David James saw us struggle to score a goal at times. But thanks to Suarez completing the scoring near the end of extra time, we got our deserved win.

View attachment 70890

Since we beat Portsmouth in the League Cup 3rd Round, we drawed Tottenham in the 4th Round.

Liverpool 0-2 Chelsea
Carvalho, Sturridge

Some first team players rested today and this result truly does show our strength in depth.

View attachment 70891

Chelsea 4-0 Metalist
Drogba(2), Cardozo, Anelka

A terrific attacking display saw us win our second game in the Champions Cup group stage putting us one step closer to retaining our Cup.

View attachment 70894

Chelsea Player of the month:- Didier Drogba
Didier Drogba has been in absolutely lethal form so far this season with over a goal a game. A deserved winner of this accolade.

Can you post a screen shot of your first choice team?

---------- Post added at 06:13 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:03 AM ----------

I can't help but notice the lack of goals from 4 - 4.5star Frank Lampard ;)
Do you play Lampard?

I do not play Lampard. Lampard does not perform for me. I have put him on my transfer list but no buys. So I removed :S

Ah. That tactic is good with Chelsea when one or two decent strikers are purchased because of the midfield. I've done about 10 different saves with Chelsea and Lampard's form had varied for me. I've had him score 13 goals in the 09-10 season and 30 in 10-11. I tend to revolve my teams around Lampard and Essien, and Lampard usually an AMC Playmaker. Just a little tip to get the best out of him, but it looks like theres no need for change.

A good story:)

Yeahh, im just looking to get as much money as I can get for him to help fund someone like Fabregas or Gerrard Maybe. But i guess they will cost quite alot. Depending on how they have performed. Like David Villa's value is £18.5 Million on mine so might get him quite cheap if i tried. But I might just do some scouting. Yoan Gorcuff maybe. Not sure :). More Updates tomorrow. Any tips on Transfers or any advice to make the story better please tell :). Thanks.

If you're looking for a striker - Neymar. He turns into a quality player, in the first season I got him for between 10&15m but he may be worth more and have moved to a bigger club, but I'd say 40m would be a good buy if you need a young striker for the future.

CM - Jack Rodwell of Everton. Good player. I used Lampard to tutor him due to his high mental attributes. The pair are very different players technically, but it's a good move. I got him for around 13m in the first season, I'd expect him to go for more in the 2nd year.

RB - Bosingwa is about 2.5*. I try to have every player 3* and 3.5* if possible. Scout Diego Renan and see what his potential is. I think if I don't buy him in the first season someone else does. The best you could do is buy him for around 20m if willing (if he's 3*) and put him straight into the first team ahead of Bosingwa.

GK - No need to buy any keepers. I've found that Delac (out on loan) is a good understudy, with great potential. He's on loan untill Jan 2011 I think; odd I know, and you can't recall him but it may be worth loaning him out to a team he'll be #1 and making it so he can be recalled in the case of a long absence of Cech.

Hope this helps ;)

Thankyou mate. I will be scouting all the players you recommended. Thankyou.
