Chelsea Troubles ....

Hello ,

I am fairly new to FM2010 i have played 2007 alot and i know all about the layout etc , but i just cant ge to grip with my Chelsea team, i have played various formations e.g. 4-1-2-1-2 , 4-1-3-2 etc. I seem to be struggling against weaker teams .. i am third but lost 3 games out of 8 already ... so here is my team can you recommend who to play and what tactic , and if i can add to my squad in the winter trnsfer window , Regards Evan_M26

Umm yes Ledley i felt was a good prospect and it has worked he has been in the reserves and scored 5 goals from midfield in 7 games so im happy lol. Can you recommend any signings in the next window ?

Delfouneso, Rodwell for some young players that you won't have to submit next season as they are below the minimum age. Umm... I would agree with playing 4-3-3 (Lampard, Essien, Ballack in the center is how I usually did it with that squad)... If you were to change from the formation 4-3-3, I would play the diamond with central midfielders close together, and buy Haruna Lukman from AS Monaco (I think - costs around £7m) .. One word describes this kid, SENSATIONAL, play him at CDM, he's better than Mikel! ..But he may go away with the Ghana squad for Africa Cup of Nations.

Thanks I will take your recommendations into account within the next few games, i have seen a huge improvement from just playing the basic 4-4-2 , but will experiment with 4-3-3 .

4-4-2 is okay depending on the tactics and instructions you implement. There is a lot of strength in midfield at Chelsea, and 4-4-2 is great, aswell as 4-3-3 and the diamond. I would 110% recommend Delfouneso and Rodwell in the January transfer, the 2 may total within the £30m range, and with Lukman, coming close to £40m - But Mikel is good enough good luck, and post back with some in game notes and how its going

Umm well things are going ok until Man City was on the fixture list , lost 4-0 , and 3 players injured , Terry 2 Weeks , Ozil 4-5 Weelks and Anelka not confirmed yet here is my results so far.
