Chorley A Road to the Top
Chorley have recently appointed a new manager. He has ambitions of gaining promotion after promotion to work his way to the top.

A Quick History

Chorley's only trophy is the Evo-Stik Northern Premier in 1988. They were founded in 1883 and are a semi-professional club playing in the Conference North. They play their home games at Victory Park. We currently have a parent club of Preston North End.

Transfers

In
Sean O'Connor Free
Joe Whittingham Loan(From PNE)

Out
Adam Mitter Free(Guiseley)
Brandon Zibaka Free

Captain: Andrew Teague

Key Players: Adam Roscoe, Darren Stephenson and Andrew Teague

Overall, Whittingham is a great signing and even though he is 17 he has some great stats. Sean O'Connor has 14 finishing which is great for the Conference North. Some good players, we are predicted to come 19th but I will be hoping to get promoted. I will be using a 4-2-3-1(Wide) which I have used elsewhere. Thank You

Pre-Season
Chorley 1-1 PNE
Stockport Sports 3-3 Chorley
Chorley 0-4 Queen of the Sth
Harrogate Railway 0-4 Chorley
Warrington 1-3 Chorley
Frickley 2-1 Chorley

Some good results in pre-season, now its just converting them to the Conference North.

Chorley vs Tamworth Game 1

Chorley 2-1 Tamworth
Tom Baker(35) for Chorley
Richie Baker (pen 43) for Tamworth
Kieran Walmsley(84)
MOTM Kieran Walmsley

Two fantastic strikes for us with Walmsley scoring a free kick. A great result to kick-start our season.

Hyde vs Chorley Game 2

Hyde 3-1 Chorley
Ben Dennis(2) for Hyde
David McNiven (21) for Hyde
Scott Spencer (78) for Hyde
Tom Baker (87) for Chorley
MOTM Tommy Manship

A disappointing game but Hyde did deserve to win.

Chorley vs Barrow Game 3

Chorley 6-3 Barrow
Chris Almond(13) for Chorley
Regan Walker(30) for Barrow
Adam Rascoe(pen 37) for Chorley
Darren Stephenson(38,56,73,90+2) for Chorley
Ted Cribley(57) for Barrow
Connor Martin(71) for Barrow
MOTM Darren Stephenson

Darren Stephenson showed everyone up with four goals but what a game anyway.

Guiseley vs Chorley Game 4

Guiseley 3-3 Chorley
Adam Boyes(pen 42, 85) for Guiseley
Darren Stephenson(53,54,60) for Chorley
Jameel Ible(75)
MOTM Darren Stephenson

Another great game for Stephenson but horrible to throw away a 3-1 lead like that such a shame.

August Report

League Position-5th
Player of the Month-Darren Stephenson(and actually got the award)
Young Player of the Month-Darren Stephenson

Overall, a great month for us sat in 5th. Stephenson is the top goalscorer with two hat-tricks. Great month and he signed a new contract!

September Report

AFC Fylde 2 - 3 Chorley
Dave Hankin(6) Adam Rascoe(14,pen 42)
Harry Winter(66) Darren Stephenson(89)

To be honest I am very happy to come out with an away win. Rascoe had a great game receiving the MOTM award. We even have this same fixture for FA Cup 2nd Qual later on in the month.

Chorley 1 - 1 Gainsborough
Chris Almond(58) Darryn Stamp(20)

A disappointing result despite Almond claiming MOTM. We were predicted to win but instead come from behind to get a draw. Not great!!

Harrogate 0 - 3 Chorley
Darren Stephenson(19,34+MOTM)
Chris Almond(35)

What an outstanding result. Predicted to lose this game, it was brilliant. They were one place above of us before the match and we were away. Great result and more goals for Stephenson.

Chorley 1 - 0 Gloucester
Kieran Walmsley(12+MOTM)

A win but I hoped for me but 3 points nonetheless.

FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round
AFC Fylde 3 - 1 Chorley
Dave Hankin(64) Darren Stephenson(67)
Jordan Flores(69)
Danny Lloyd(78)

All I can say is a disappointing loss :(

League Position: 1st
Player of the Month: Adam Roscoe(and actually got the award)
Young Player of the Month: Darren Stephenson

A great month for the league and with the FA cup out the way it gives us plenty of time to concentrate on Automatic Promotion. I also won Manager of the Month so a great second month.
