Clear Cut Chances

Is there any general rules on how to create more clear cut chances ?

I play a 4-1-2-2-1 formation with a playoff contending league 2 side who excel in passing and decisions.
I have created only 0-1 clear cut chances in both of my pre-season games and want to sort this before the season starts...

If it's your first season I really wouldn't worry about it too early.
Players will still be getting used to your formation and style of play so it will take a little while for them to really get into things. Generally though quick counter attacks or good off the ball movement with creative players leads to them most often.

I Agree with TJD, but i would also add... in my experience and with the tactic i use that restricting midfielders shooting from long distance also aids this, the more open they are to passing and awaiting the strikers movements the more CCC oportunities this will create.
