Hi all

Been playing FM games since Champ Manager 91 or summat like it. The 1 problem I have is that I get bored after 2 seasons and start a new save with different teams. The most I've had at a time is around 8. To combat this I'm thinking of doing a story about a certain Mr Brian Clough. I got the idea by following an Alex Ferguson story on here. I'm going to start at Hartlepool and only apply for jobs at teams managed by the great man and hopefully end up taking my team (Forest) to the kings of Europe. Would anyone be interested or does any of you have another idea of a good save that I wouldn't tire off. All ideas welcome cheers.

That sounds like a good idea - would you do it in order? (Hartlepool, Derby, Brighton, Leeds, Forest)

Mourinho would be a good one too - Benfica, Leiria, Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Real

Having said that the best long term save I have ever had is with Athletic Bilbao as you have to nurture your own talent and always think 3 years ahead in planning your team - the first save I had with them was in FM12 and lasted until 2034 and my new one is about to enter 2018 and I feel as though I am just starting to get going..............

Brian Clough is a god in my eyes, Believe he is the greatest manager to have lived. It's a tough job but if your commited go for it and be as successful as cloughy. I would recommend you try and get an assistant to stick by you all the way aswell just like peter taylor did.

I will try and do this in order it's dependent on what jobs become available and what league they are in. I've been hooked on your Bilbao story and will probably start a Spanish adventure with Tenerife. I started the Clough save last night but not sure how to lay it out. Might be tricky doing screenshots because I'm only on a laptop at the moment and to be honest haven't a scooby doo how to get the screen shots pasted from the game onto here so the first few will be trial and error so bear with it.

I also thought this to start with but you just press alt and f9 on the screen you want then when uploading the pic go through sports interactive - fm2013 - screenshots

Here is the 1st of hopefully many updates. And I'm willing to take on board any advice and critiscm.

HARTLEPOOL APPOINT NOVICE MANAGER

In a shock move the owners of Hartlepool Football Club have appointed the previously unheard of Daniel Higgins as the man to replace Neale Cooper as manager of the struggling League1 side. Chairman Ken Hodcroft welcomed the new manager at a press conference at the Victoria Ground and said that he was very impressed with how Daniel explained his vision for the club. At the press conference one of the main questions asked to the new man in charge was about his experience and why he thought he could make a difference at Hartlepool.

" I admit that the only experience I have in management is Sunday mornings and of course on the computer. But after seeing that Hartlepool was looking for a young hungry manager I thought to myself why not. After all this is the town where the local mascot became their member of parliment. In the interview with Mr Hodcroft I explained that being a huge fan of Nottingham Forest meant I was a fan of the late great Brian Clough and I wanted to follow in his footsteps." Replied Mr Higgins who like his idol was sat there in a green jumper.

Lifelong Hartlepool fan and Gillette Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling was quoted as saying. " If this guy ends up being half as good as Cloughie was we will have one **** of a manager so lets give him a chance"
