Club and Country

Does anyone have any interesting stories regarding managing a national team and a club in that country. I recently did one with Rwanda and had some success, but not enough regens were being produced, but i did get them far in the 2014 WC qualifying and did well in the Cup of Nations. I tried to do FC Vaduz/Liechtenstein but I couldn't get Liechtenstein to be manageable, but I would like to do a team that is in a league that isn't edited in, but isn't a powerhouse in the national rankings. Ideally a national team that is ranked in the 80-150 range. Aside from that does anyone have any hints or tips as to how to maximize the talent that you produce, or any other helpful tips?

Does anyone know how to make liechtenstein manageable?
 
are those leagues, or the national teams though. I am looking to manage the liechtensteiner national team, and I already have most of the patched leagues that i could ever want.
 
The only problem is I'd like to have a hand in my youth intake and whenever I download patches I only seem to get 3 or 4 regens a year at the club, compared to bringing in a full youth squad if I'm playing somewhere that starts out in the FM game.
