Hi everyone

I just recently buy FM14.

I update transfers from LFCtransfer update. After i made a tactic and try it on several clubs,i start first "real" season with Newcastle Utd.
In first season i won the league and FA cup, which is newer happened before in a previous FM editions.I have the best striker, best player and three of my players was first in avg.rating.
I mean that i won the league immediately with middle table club.Ussualy i need at least two seasons, more likely 3 or more..
And the thing that its even more strange , that Newcastle become immediately top club in England and fourth in Europe by reputation.
Its this just the way it is on FM14 or...?
I would like to ask you for your experiences that i know, should i continuing with Newcastle or start with some 6.division club ;)

thats the way it is, southampton are an easy team to be as well, one treble winning season & i was the biggest in england & 3rd behind barca & madrid in europe its ridiculous

Certainly strange that you'd become the biggest club in England after winning the league once. Maybe report it on SI as a bug?

The biggest bug I have seen in FM14 was in my A.Samoa game. In 2nd tier the worst team (bottom reputation), has been relegated, and guess what? They have became the top reputation in American Samoa, despite being without a league. Bug? In my Istres game I have won French cup, but despite finishing 17th in Ligue 1, I have became 5th team with most reputation in France.

Could be a bug, yes. In save its a start of the new season.Newcastle reputation fell on third place behind Chelsea and Man City, but Nott"m forest (they won has the Championship) have the same reputation as ManU,L"pool and Everton.Strange.
Its just much easier if your reputation grow so quick, cause much more player would sign for your club.
I check now my Norwich save from FM13.Even after 3 PL champs in a row,CL champ and WC Norwich was not best rated in the England.

Thanks for the answer

In my game, City finished 13th in the second season, and their reputation didn't drop from 5 stars at all. They were still the most reputable club in England (despite Chelsea winning the league, and Arsenal the CL). So looks like it might be only going up a problem, not how quickly it falls.
