CM 97/98: Effective Tactics/Formations

Hi guys, love the site.

Got back into "Retro" mode, and went to play CM9798 again via DOSBOX.

I am trying to establish if anyone has came across an effective tactic, which could work at all levels of the game (i.e top leagues, bottom tier). Also, I am trying to calculate how I get young players to reach their potential. Season after season, I have seen many young guys brought in, and their values plummet.

I appreciate many of you will be focused on the latest instalment, but I am hoping to tap into your previous experience playing this specific version.

Any tips on the above would be greatly appreciated.
