Hi all, just a quick question:

Shall I look into Coaching or Refereeing?

I'd love to play a part in football. Maybe I'm not good enough to be a pro footballer XD so I'm wondering what your opinions are. Any experienced people's comments will be useful :)

What do you think? Coaching or Refereeing? Thanks! (H)

I reckon coaching because you don't want the stick refs get :)

How do you even get into coaching because i would really like to do that :)

be a ref. prove that you can become a class ref.

through the fa. go to the fa website and click on coaching. show you the prices and time of the course etc

My dad reffed Joleon Lescott and his brother Aaron when they were young (H)

i have always wanted to do it but have not had the finances to do so. i will get my coaching badges one day and then go to america to coach for 6 months.

I'd say coaching. I'm doing a Sport Science course at college and want to get my badges so I can go into coaching football. Can't say refereeing is appealing at all but everyone to there own :P

I'm now a qualified referee, but only recently recovered from my broken arm so have been unable to do any games :'(. I will also be doing my coaching badges soon. I'de say do both, the possiblilities are endless :D

I'm about to take Sports Science as a GCSE as one of my options to help me get into the sport.
I'm also looking into getting my coaching badges after I've finished my Sports Science Course.
Also looking into Physiotherapy and maybe the possibility of becoming a scout if nowt else works :P

Yeah I'd like to go to uni and study Physiotherapy.. But to get in you have to have the highest grades available + extras, which is a challenge in itself :P

well if I fail with that then I'll just get my uncle to get me into the scouting system at one of his clubs :P
(he's a roaming scout, used to be a key player for bolton ;))

AGREEED.
Go into the thing you most enjoy? Don't let us decide, try one and the other, see what you enjoy, don't let a person you don't even know decide what your life story could be mate.

To be honest, I don't mind which I do. Just had a quick browse through TheFA.com and its sections on Coaching and Refereeing and looks kinda attractive. I'll have a more in-depth browse tomorrow after training XD Thanks for the comments all.

Go for refereeing the game could allways use more dedicated refs.
