Complacency against lower reputation teams.

I'm managing Dortmund and i made a wonderful team, i succed in most of games against high reputation teams but i have some troubles with lower teams, what can i do for this?
i tried team-talks, i tried to play a narrow games with pases to feet (that works but only sometimes) and also i tried to adopt control tactics, retaining possesion but doesn't work.

Any suggestions???

Tell the players before the match you expect a win from them.
Use attacking mentality
Don't change your tactics right before the match; the players won't be familiar and not do their proper jobs (sometimes)

i tried too telling them that i expect a win, and when i'm using attacking mentality opponent have a possesion similar with barcelona and this isn't benefit to my team.

if you play possession and play narrow, then low reputation teams will just jam pack the centre of the park to stop you playing and be very defensive. id advize you to play wider and exploit the spaces

sidgurung97...there isn't much to see at my tactic, i use everything standard 4-4-2 except Takling-More Agressive, i prefer to adapt my tactics during every match using Instructions and following match stats, action zones, teams motivation.Following these helped me to beat teams as Barcelona in UCL.

If you are playing 4-4-2 i would suggest you playing direct football down the wings.. I believe possession football play best in 5 man midfield system... Well thats just what i believe in and its up to you to believe me too

Or it could be just the problem of your players...
