would love if someone could give me a hand! when i use my mates laptop on my wireless broadband it way quicker compared to when i use my own desktop pc internet? any ideas?

thanks

It sounds like their wireless adapter has a higher speed allowance, although most are around 54mbps. Also, lower RAM can make Internet seem like it is slow, when changing pages.

Yeah most probably your RAM. Do you know what size your desktop has. Or how old is it?

It's probably because the laptop specs are better than your desktops. How old is your computer

it will be your computers ram, try getting rid of all the **** that you dont need from your pc and getting some "tuning" software like auslogics

This question isn't directly related to Football Manager 2010, and probably belongs in the General Chat section of the forum.

However, I will ask the question that nobody else seems to have asked yet:

"Does your friend not just have a faster broadband connection?"

"Does your friend not just have a faster broadband connection?"

He states in his question that he is using his own internet connection.
The other suggestions are spot on by the way.
An underpowered machine will struggle with modern cluttered web pages.
Lets not forget that your pc needs to download the page, process it, buffer it to ram, send the relative parts to your graphics card and then display it on screen.
Each major change needs to be emptied from ram and it starts all over again.

Ram is dirt cheap these days and another gig will give you a brilliant speed boost (it will also speed up FM).

Here are some links to help you on your way. (you may know them already)
