Conceding too many headers and too many goals from crosses. Any tactical help?

Also overall defending needs improving.

I am a league one side.

There are a lot of reasons for this to happen. Most times it is the tactic itself, especially your marking system in overall and how you set defensive line, roles and mentality. And if you're playing a league one side, try use defenders with good defensive attributes, rather than decent ones..

For starters, try set your match preparation to defensive positioning or defend set piece.

Cheers, and good luck..

The reason is often the quality and/or the quantity or the crosses the opposition makes. If the winger gets too much time on the ball, he Will deliever really good crosses. The trick here is to make a plan
Pregame as how to handle the wingers. If they cut inside, then show them outside. If they are good crossers and perhaps have made some assists, then manmark him with the player closest to him, showing him inside and close him down.
