Hi guys. Just got back into FM after a long break. Wondering what is the difference between Condition and match Fitness and what effects they have on a player.

Eg I will see a player with CON 98% but MFT 56%. I was avoiding playing someone with low MFT but when I ask the assistant to pick the team he has no hesitation on throwing in a low MFT player. So...so clarity please.
Also - how do I get a players MFT up if it is low?

Condition is how physically fit a player is. Match fitness is how much match practice they've had. Hence why everyone has low match fitness after summer break.

I tend to let players with low MFT play in Reserve games til they are ready

I tend to also avoid players with low MFT, it just seems to make their condition drop in games rapidly

Just throw them into reserve games until it picks up or start to rotate them into the team at the end of games.

I tend to bring them off the bench for a couple of games and maybe a reserve game or two doesn't usually get long to get the match fitness up.
