config! PNG! How do I get my manager photo back!?!

Hi there,

My manager photo has disappeared just as it does at the start of every game I've ever played - perhaps making it stay could be an idea for FM12? Anyway, I've searched previous posts and followed the same procedure as always but can't get it to work.

It's saved as a PNG. I've created a new config file on Notepad (saved as config.xml) in which I've entred my unique id in the appropriate places. The relevant boxes are ticked in the display and sound tab of my preferences but the **** photo won't appear!

Has the process of adding a photo changed for FM11 or is there something basic I'm forgetting?

yeah i can't get it to work either. using .png and the config.xml is setup and in the same folder called 'me'.

put the 'me' folder in the graphics folder. i've tried moving the 'me' folder into different folders but still nothing. i'm using a mac tho, i wonder if that will make any difference?
 
I'm really confused now.

Over the years I've had to put my photo back in the game after it's disappeared dozens of times but for some reason I just can't get it to work now.

I've followed the tutorial on this website but still no luck.

The picture has been saved as a png file under my user id and put in the graphics folder.
I've downloaded the config.xml file on the FAQ page, opened it with Notepad and entered my unique id in the relevant places.
I've unticked Use Skin Cache and ticked Always Reload Skin on Confirm and pressed confirm.

But I'm still left with a silhouette.

I've tried. God knows I've tried.

I haven't even played a game today because I've been arsing around trying to get my photo back. I'm not a total novice at this. I download facepacks, badges, kits and over the years I have had to put my manager photo back in countless times but somewhere I'm going wrong.

I don't know whether there's anything blindingly obvious I'm not doing this time around but, because I've done it so many times before, I doubt it.

I know this is only a relatively small thing but it's really upsetting me now.

Please help :O
 
Had the same problem.

Go into your folder where your manager image is and make sure it is actually saved with .png in the name.

For example "1394654245.png" (not just "1394654245")

I only had the number and not the ".png" in the title. Works fine now.

My photo in a new save has disappeared, I followed all the above advice and I can't get it to work either! And I got it back once!

I'm flummoxed once again!

Photo saved as PNG file (as 1394651467.png).
Config file (saved as config.xml) contains the unique ids in the relevant places (1394651467.png in the first space and 1394651467 in the second).
The Always Reload Skin box is ticked...

and I'm met with the soul-crushing sight of the silhouette.

Why can't this issue just be sorted out once and for all?
 
Do the reload skin from the start menu before you load up your saved game.
