config xml files

Hey guys how would I go about removing lines from the config xml files.

ie. <record from="mineiro" to="graphics/pictures/person/3300170/portrait" />

Ive tried highlighting and hitting delete but nowt happened... any ideas? cheers

u have to open them in Notepad to edit them...
