Consequences of loading fewer leagues?

Hi guys,

I often like to sim my way through the years so I don't know any real players, I find it's a nice challenge to go in with zero knowledge and try progress my way up the leagues.

To do this, obviously loading less leagues means it sims quicker, bonus?

My question is, does loading fewer leagues deteriorate the quality of the league you wish to play in? So, say for example, I load only England's leagues from the Prem down to League 2. Does this mean all the clubs have less players to chose from (as Spain, Germany, Italy etc. are not loaded), and thus the combined quality of the players in the league reduces over time? Or does it mean those players are still available, but the results and league tables are just not processed?

I ask because I've simulated forward 10 years on two separate occasions and each time the league I've loaded has gone down hill in terms of player quality .

Thanks in advance!

When you don't add a league, the players at start are mostly still there if you used a medium or large database unless it's a view only league. Over time though, these players will retire and get replaced by greyed out players. Regens will be generated as usual, but it makes international cups much less interesting, as you can't buy their mostly greyed out players. They'll have some black/interactable players, but otherwise are few in number, and tend to be awful in terms of quality.

Some leagues however, are perfectly fine if you just load that. Loading just the MLS is fine, because there is a consistent supply of good regens from the yearly drafts. South America is also the same, a database of just South American teams is not bad since South American teams tend to sign all their regens due to the need of squad depth.

Most computers with 4GB RAM can handle 60 leagues without much of a speed reduction.
