I am still on FM 2016. I am considering to buy FM2017 soon, or not.
Most ******* me part of FM 2016 is dealing with contracts.
I am usually playing long carers in one club. Usually leagues lower rated, so managing your wage budget is a hard job.
Examples:
Club legend, best striker ever, 3 times CL winner.
He is 35y old, but i want him for 2 years more as tutor for young players.
He was on 4y contract earning 230k/week + bonuses. I was trying to renew his contract for next 2y
offering him max 200k/week, but it was impossible, he constatly demand 300k/week.
Couldn't fire his agent, because they were not demanding new contract.
So i went angry and mutually terminated in May. Checked him 1 month later, he was free agent and his demands was only 15k/week!
Same thing with my midfielder. He is 34 old, trying to renew his 220k/week contract with the same money and bonuses, but he want lot more.
Six months to contract end, and in january he is signing with Valencia for 180k/week.
After 20 seasons, there are only two or three agents which represents your players, so they are always angry at me.
Why 34+ player still wants to be KEY player, if you talk with them they agree to play less because they know that they are old, but if you negotiating with them their demands are crazy.
Did the FM 2017 got this somehow fixed, or situation like that still exists?
