Contract Offer; "(*) cannot suggest deal due to board restrictions, please correct"

Heyy,

I have started a season with Man Utd, and whenever I try to offer a player a contract (one of my own or transfer), I get a message above the 'Confirm Offer' button saying;

"(*) cannot suggest deal due to board restrictions, please correct"

Does anyone have any idea how to correct it?

It'll be because your board won't let you match something that a player wants in the contract. I found it abit confusing at first till I had another look at it.

Lower it so it is inside the Board's Restrictions.

Or to the left change the squad status on the contract offer...

one of the terms in the contract will be red at least if it say that so just click on the drop down menu then you can see the highest amount you can pay or if player status is not key player then the higher squad status the more money you can pay
