Contracts after a loss

Y is it my players like to ask for improved deals after losing a game. How does that make sense. Had my center mid after one for a couple of nice touches after a 4-1 defeat, its like we'll done on getting beat have a pay rise. Happened a few times now

I had one where a player got injured in the first 15 minutes of the match and then his agent asked for a new contract

I've had a player ask for it after making a mistake that led to a goal and getting sent off. Optimism I guess
