contradicting preferred positions

Hi all

I'm currently playing classic mode and i notice on some players stats screens that on the position screen it will display for example "Poacher - attack" then on the report screen in the bottom left hand corner it will list a different position as their preferred role. As you can see in the bottom right on the second picture, he's equally as good at 4 different roles.
