Has anyone tried converting a player to the other side of the pitch?
Will he ever be as good or just good enough on the other side?

In my case, the RB has a very good right foot but weak left. If I convert him to a LB, will this be a major problem?

PS: don't ask "why would you want to do this?", I just do :)

I have wanted to try this aswell! I think its probably easier to buy one that can play in both!

I am currently trying it with David Martin who plays for me on my Derby County save.
His main position is left midfield, but I don't have an out an out right midfielder, so I am trying to convert him to the latter!

Well, in my case it's not easier because I have 3 RBs and 2 LBs. One of the LBs is getting too old and the extra RB will end up not playing that much because 2 RBs are enough.

Would be an easy solution to switch one RB to LB and eventually sell the old LB without having to buy new players or sell one of my young RBs..

I'm really looking for an answer to my questions and not an alternative to my approach :p

Thanks anyway.

Yeah it depends on the players versitility and things, have a look to see if any of you RBs can use left foot or "either". Might help him to be able to use both on the other side of the pitch
