Converting files from one version of FM to another

Hiya.

I read somewhere a few years ago about a simple change in the file for converting (for instance a player made) into another version Ie from FM 13 to Fm 18.

Can anyone help or remember what or where the change is made?

You can try and import it in the editor and see if the changes take. but other files no.

Nah that doesn't work. They just grow older which isn't the purpose.

The thing Im talking is about changing a digit to another in the actual database using either notepad or another editing program.

dont think so without the ingame editor or FMRTE.

You can change something with xml/notepad team names etc, not sure on attributes have a look here
