coping with fast strikers

i seriuosly need help stopping quick strikers from scoring against me im arsenal and galles and vermalean just cannot cope with the pace i have just been beaten buy wolfburg 4-3 martins and ziani scored both of their goals 2 each so any elp would be appreciated and mayby any quick decent cb you recommend thanks

Good fast DC are hard to find so I'd set defence to play deep.

In real life yes, on fm not so, only pace of like 14. Wheras in real life he catches up with most strikers.

there are lots of fast centrebacks u just search for them, hard tackling, closing down, tight marking maybe

isn't that causes your defender to be easily rounded by the striker if they have good flair and driblling.. added by, in this case, pace.

i normally close them down with my defenders and play really deep. i disagree with tight marking cos from what i see, my defenders were unable to keep pace with those strikers, who leave them for dead and open a big hole in my defense. however, i do tight mark slower strikers (eg. maierhofer/venegoor of hesselink) and normally they dont get to do much damage

Just drop the defensive line down. Tight marking is dangerous because players can be dragged out of position and that leaves holes so they won't even need the pace to score. Close them down but be weary.

It can work. It depends on the players you are marking tightly and the defenders. If the player is a real hassle he can drag your defender well out of positin which leads to a gap in the defence
