Is it possible to use counter attack as an attacking play, the same purpose as control and attacking. Im experimenting it but i cant decide on what kind of passing to use. in 09 i used direct passing, my defenders had the highest, then it gradually went down as the DMC, MC,AMC and ST. in the end my strikers would be playing short(1-5) passing.
Also the D-Line, is making the D-line deeper more effective to initiate a counter attack? In my mind what i want to achieve is for all my players to slowly get into our own half, and then the defenders or midfielders will pick out a winger or a forward who is quite far out and then on they swiftly approach the box. I only manage to win games comfortably when i use this Away and against stronger teams. Being manchester united i dont see many other stronger teams.
Btw im using a regular 4-4-2, Two CB,2 FB,2 Wingers, 1 ball winning CM, 1 box-to-box CM, 1 complete forward and a poacher
