Crash dumps won't let me play... Please help!

Hi, I am in 2017 and suddenly the game keeps closing on the same date due to 'crash dump' problems... I have searched and tried all the mentioned remedies (was going to uninstall but apparently that doesn't work) but none seem to fix the problem.
I understand this is quite a common problem but for the majority it seems to happen early on in the game. Can anyone explain why it is happening and possibly suggest ways to fix it?

i had this problem also, but since i have turned off the computer generated players pictures i havn't had any grief. im not an expert at these things but well worth a shot?? hope it sorts it for you

if you have read all the how to fix crash dumps etc on the technical section, the only thing I can think of that may have worked for me is changing your saved game to once off, not the rolling 3 save!

Unfortunately neither worked. I changed my preferences to what was suggested then loaded it again but the same thing happened! If there are any other suggestions then please let me know. Thanks for trying
