Crash

Hi,
I got fm11 up and running and started a new career, however every time I finish a match and go to continue the game just stops, returns to my desktop and a notice pops up saying a serious error occurred. I've tried reducing the amount of leagues so it would run quicker, but still the same problem came up. Is there a specific reason for this and can it be fixed?

have you downloaded the game from steam? or bought it as a disc?

have you downloaded any patches for the game?

and are you using a custom database?

I bought the game as a disc, then downloaded it from steam. I haven't downloaded any patches but I'm not sure about the database....

do you play the game through steam when you play?

or do you just play the game without logging into steam?

stop using torrents and it should fix that problem

It automatically opens through steam when I play it. And how do I stop using torrents ?

then you should have the latest patch installed, as steam does it for you.

have you downloaded any custom databases at all, or used an type of editor?

Nah, I've started a few new games to try and do different things to get it to work, and used the databases on there, I haven't downloaded anything for it though.

only thing i can suggest is save any graphics or skins, saved games you want to keep,

and uninstall and reinstall the game...

my knowledge is very much limited on problem fixing,

there are many threads on here that may have experienced the same problem as yourself where someone will have fixed it for them.

there have been many people have similar problems but each one can be different, have a read through some of the threads that have a similar problem and you may find something.

or... wait until a sane hour for UK users of the site to find this thread in the morning and you may get some better help then
