Ok so first some back story. I started with RB Leipzig which is in the German third division, I'm now in the bundesliga fighting for the title after finishing 4th the previous year. I'm also in the Euro cup, lost out on going to CL group stage by losing to Man U 6-5 on agg in the best place play-off. Coming out of the January transfer window I had a crazy stretch of games. I lost to Bayern 2-0 making my lead over them in the league drop to 3 points, then I lost 1-0 to BVB. Luckily Bayern lost so lead still at 3. I drew Arsenal in the knockout stage and that was my next game and its in England. Things were going great! It was 1-1 with just 4 minutes of stoppage time to go, then Arsenal scored twice. ****. Then I play bottom of the table HSV and had to win it in the 89th minute at home. At this point I'm in the dumps, I'm thinking FM is taking a huge dump on me. Well in the return leg against Arsenal, I won 5! Nil. Unbelievable. How in the world could I nearly draw a bottom feeder and only days later beat a team like Arsenal so handedly? Guess that's just FM for you haha

Your last sentence hit the nail on the head. Sometimes it seems like the game screws you over for a bit if you're doing better than expected.

That really seems to be the case. My teams have played above themselves nearly every season. Finished 3rd and lost the play-off in year one. Won the third division in year two by a landslide. Somehow finished 2nd to get promotion to the bundesliga after year three. My three years in bundesliga have been 8th, 4th and now I sit in 1st a little more than halfway through the season. It's been a great ride so far.
