Create a club, searching for players bugged? (roles doesnt work)

Decided to try out create a club and when i am choosing my "Dream team" in the search function the "Roles" selection always returns "no results found", Example I choose Central Defender with "Ball playing defender" role in the drop down box and it shows no players, I have around 52k players list (All players from top division clubs in Europe) am I doing something wrong?

I had this same problem.

What I ended up doing was searching for positions and then specifying the attributes I deemed to be important for that role. Or you could use the attributes the game specifies as good for that role.

It's a pain but it was the only way I could figure to do it.
