Created player not showing in game

I'm trying to add myself as a player on the database and I want to start as a free agent. I can't work out why when I load a new game including the database file I can't find myself.

I've filled in as many fields as I possibly can in the editor, I've saved it in the right place, I've ticked the 'Change' box when I load a new game and made sure it's selected, but no luck.

Can anyone suggest anything I might've missed?

depends what reputation you have given your created player and what size database you are using - if u have created a player from a really obscure country and low reputation they may not appear !

I'm using the Huge database. English player but not sure about reputation, I'll try altering that and see if I appear.

It doesn't seem to be down to reputation, I just set it to 50 and still nothing.

Could it be because my player and manager have the same name?
