Creating new DB

When Im creating a new DB the file is saved as a dbc file, how can I make it XML?

open the database in the data editor, then go to settings and click the compress editor data option,

whether this is selected or not means the database is either compressed or not, which is the difference between .dbc and .xml, unfortunately i can't remember which is which though.

Uncompressed = XML

Compressed = DBC
