Criticizing Refs and FA's decisions..

Going too far, too many times can get you banned from matches.

BUT - sometimes if you choose to ignore the fact that a goal should NOT have been disallowed, or a foul SHOULD have been given and a penalty awarded... It can upset your players.

It's difficult to judge the situation on FM. In real life, real replays could show you exactly what happened.

Any tips and hints as to figuring out just exactly what happens before you openly criticize the ref?

With off sides this is easy, as you can watch the replays after the match, slow it right down and joudge for yourself if its off side or not.

Fouls are just guess work though as far as I know.

Reading the match report would be my advice. If the commentary implies an injustice this is usually more accurate than watching the match engine.

I tend to follow that rule Deelang, I especially notice it ingame when it comments on it. In the match report it says it was a 'clear foul' etc so i criticize the ref and still get told off!!
Silly FA ;)

I imagine a genuine Premier League manager would say that this is FM recreating their real experience (the FA ignoring reality and punishing managers!)

If only you could criticize refs. tell them how poor they are.

Nuttwray, you can criticize their decision, during press conferences. Thats about it.

I can understand what you mean Deelang.
It's **** :P

in 08 this happend a lot, when you criticize a ref after game, you always got a warning end of. Once every now and then it would FA silent of criticism, but nothing after that. I would like it if every now and then you got something for moaning lol

It would be nice if you just got an APOLOGY or something :P
