Shock Everton Appointment!
There were shocks all around Merseyside today as lifelong Liverpool fan Ryan Jones was appointed as Everton manager. Yes that’s right. Everton manager. Sky Sports understands that David Moyes resigned as Everton manager due to heart problems. Although Toffee fans believe it comes after a disagreement with the Everton owner over possible transfer funds.
Everton fans are deeply upset that a Liverpool fan has been given the chance to manage Everton, although they do see Jones as a talented young manager who could take the club forward. They do however doubt whether ‘taking the club forward’ is his main intentions.
Stay tuned for the press conference live from Goodison Park.

Controversial, I like it mate. Good luck :)

Press Conference:
Reason: New Job
Location: Goodison Park
Q. “Considering you’re a Liverpool fan, many Evertonians are questioning your intentions?”
A. I expected nothing less, but I’d like to tell those fans to keep the faith in their team, but also that I’m here for the long haul, and I fully intend to take Everton to the top of the game. If that means destroying Liverpool in the process then so be it.
Q. “So you’re prepared to ‘destroy’ your childhood team in order to make Everton successful?”
A. “Absolutely. Whatever’s necessary to make this team successful.”
Q. “How long do you think it’ll take to take Everton to the top of the game?”
A. “I believe there’s a lot of potential in this club. We already have some quality players in the likes of Arteta and Pienarr and with the likes of Gosling and Rodwell coming through. Things can only get better. I’d like us to be finishing in the top four consistently in 2 to 3 years, and then build from there. The first step is winning a major trophy, whether that be the carling cup or f.a. cup, it doesn’t matter. We need to install a winning mentality at this club before anything else.
The remaining questions concentrated on Jones’ transfer targets and tactics for the upcoming season, however Jones refused to comment and said the fans and journalists would have to wait and see.
