Manager Fabio Capello has handed Chelsea
skipper Terry
back the armband ahead of Saturday's Euro 2012 qualifier against Wales after stripping him of the post last year over issues in his personal life.
Terry takes the post back from Rio Ferdinand,
who succeeded him last year, while Steve Gerrard led England at last summer's World Cup
when Ferdinand was ruled out with injury.
The situation has prompted inevitable rumours of unrest in the Three Lions
set-up, but Tottenham striker Crouch
insists that is far from the case.
No problems
"There was of talk about there being unrest but I don't think that was the issue at all," said Crouch on Sky Sports News.
"Obviously you're proud whenever you're picked for England and there wasn't really a lot of concern.
"There's no problems with anyone. We're obviously pleased for John and we move on."
Crouch says he and his international team-mates are more than happy for Terry to don the armband after continually proving himself as a leader for both England and Chelsea.
"Terry has always been fantastic on the pitch, he's led Chelsea to doubles and been there and done it," he said.
"He's a great leader on the pitch and I'm sure he will be again for England.
"He's been captain for a long, long time. The way he wears his heart on his sleeve and goes out and tries to bring out the best in all the others round him is probably why he is such a leader.
"And I think all the players are happy with that."
Sympathy
While adamant there is no unrest over Terry reclaiming the post, Crouch admits he has sympathy for Ferdinand.
The Manchester United
defender is unavailable to face Wales as he recovers from a calf injury, and Crouch added: "It's a real shame for Rio.
"He's a top-class player and a great lad to have around the place. When he was here he was a natural leader as well.
"It's just a real shame with injuries that he's had. Not being here, I think that was obviously why the manager decided to change the captain."
