Cup draws

Just a question though... is the cup draws really random?? Cause i realize i have been playing aston villa alot of times this season.. Played against them for 4 times in 31 days... can u believe it??

Its random.
Sadly, as long as Villa are in the draw, there's a chance you can get them.

I know what you mean. I feel like I always get the big teams year in year out but yes it is random

Yeah, or having always the one big player that press said is the likes you may face next round.

But it is random, seriously.

Bad luck can be a very annoying lady.

You know in FM05... I used to receive a lot of goals... guess when?. When I -thought- "I'll have to change this bit of tactic because else they'll score", and there was a goal, before I pressed the button.

I was wondering this too. For a test, in the third round of the league cup I saved my game before the draw. Got Hull...reloaded the game...watched the draw again...and got Hull again...not sure myself now...

Yeah it seems that sometimes you draw the team you are scheduled to play the game before or after the cup match itself, which is strange.

Did you save and reload on the day of the draw though? For some reason if you save on the day of the draw, you can reload as many times as you wish and you'll still get the same draw. You have to save and reload at least a day before, I think.

So the draw actually plays no part in it being random? It's already decided the day of the draw...kinda silly if you ask me

Last year on my Norwich saves in the first season, Carling Cup 1st Round I always got Burton. Coincedence?

it's probally worked out by the game when you press continue the night before the draw.

it happens in my first season three times.. after the aston villa match, i played Tottenham for three consecutive match, once in league, twice in european cup. Then I played Chelsea twice consecutively again in the last game of league and FA cup though this is probably random.. This is a gruelling period urgh!!
