Hi everyone

When a lower league manager with low finances do you think it is more important to get quick promotions or to go on good cup runs and hope for that big pay day against a premier league club ? Is money more important to begin with than instant success ?

You probably won't need the money at the time but the earlier you're making money the easier life will be in the future. You may as well concentrate on getting the promotions but if you notice you are overachieving in a cup then it's well worth just going for it and seeing how far you can get.

i tend to favour quick promotions (promotion every 2 seasons) but if you can go on a cup run its great im currently managing plymouth argyle in L2 i went to the final of the JPT lost but with added ticket sales and cup money prob made about a mil in extra revenue which helps considering at the start argyle are paying about 250k per month on bank loans

I go for cup and stay in bsp getting young stars who mature as i rise through the leagues
15-17 year olds in bsp
17-18 in l2
18-19 in l1
19-21 in championship
22+ in prem
