Current ability or Stats?

Im in a Napoli save at the moment, and its quite hard to get a decent CB, most of the transfer listed CB's have decent stats, but low current ability..

​Should i buy/select a player based on his stats, or his current ability?

You sure you mean mean current ability and not potential ability?

If so then, my personal opinion is to go for potential ability, since its always good to build for the future and will bring you alot of money in the future if you decided to sell that player for a big profit. I always tend to buy Ezequiel Muñoz from Palermo, since he has some decent potential and so does Sebastián Toro, but he will take a while to grow to his potential.

But it's all up to you and what you need right now, if you have patience and feel you can win a lot then go for the potential but if you feel you desperately need a CB to be able to stay solid at the back then go for current stats.
