I have made myself some custom kits and most importantly custom badges that I would love to use in the game but despite searching around the forum and trying everything I could find I've been unable to get any custom images I've made into my game.
I would greatly appreciate any help you guys could give.

I believe these might be my issues, but I'm obviously not sure since I can't make it work:
What keyword do I use for badge/logo/shield/etc in the config.xml file?
Should I use the term club or team in the config?
I have the digital download version that runs underneath steam, does this change where I need to put my image files or what goes in the config file or anything else?

I've been able to download a logo pack that works fine and has great images in the game but I also would love to see my custom stuff in game too.

Thanks in advance for helping me out guys.

try searchng fm graphics guru and it will make the config for you :)

Ok, I used the graphics guru to make my config.xml files so I feel pretty sure they are correct now, but I still don't see anything in game.
I've reloaded the skin on submit and restarted the entire game but still see nothing.
My guess is I need to put them somewhere else for the game under steam but I don't know where.
Help, please.

erm.... have you gone on preferences and unticked skin cache and tick reload thingy.... :/ i would give better instructions but i cant remember what its called....
also make sure youve placed the kits in the documents>sports interactive>football manager>graphics -folder. its also a good idea to put a seperate folders in the graphics folder for the different things youwant... eg. Kits, Face Packs, Backgrounds.... etc

I have done the preferences skin reload many times and I created a graphics folder under user>documents>Sports Interactive>Football Manager 2010 with subfolders of kits and logos.
I believe this is the right location since I am using Windows Vista, but I don't know if playing the game through steam changes that. I found the game editor in a folder under steam, so that makes me question the user>documents>etc location.

are your images the right unique id?

I've double checked the IDs and they are correct in the config file but do I need to have the file use that unique ID too?

Like is logo.png ok or should it be 12345.png?
