d3dx9_31.dll was not found

Hello guys,

Whenever I try to play the new Football Manager and go from the launch screen it crashes and gives me this message "This application has failed to start because d3dx9_31.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

I've tried re-installing the game but that didn't do anything.

If this helps I have a Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9300 @ 2.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.5GHz Processor, with 2Gb of ram and a NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+ graphics card. I am also using Directx 9.0c

Any help you have would be greatly appreciated, Thanks advance.

Haha dude chill. You just need to download/update your directX, that's all. Any dx***.dll problem is usually due to out-of-dated directx.

If that is your problem about this message, I think you don't have d3dx9_31.dll, You need that! I know where you can get that, Go to this link :d3dx9_31.dll

You need to download that DLL
